Week 9 and 10 - Creating a leaflet to share information about my chosen country
It is now time for you to present your research on your chosen country. Look through all the research you have done this term on your country and include the main parts in the information you share with others. Your leaflet must include:
- Name of your country in large lettering
- Flag
- Map of the country (outline of its shape)
- Facts about its language, population, capital city
- A celebration from that country
- A landmark from the country
- The foods that are traditional to that country
- A traditional house or clothing
Week 8 - Kotahitanga (making connections within our whanau)
This week we are making connections with other students in our whanau by using a Venn Diagram. Over the past few weeks we have explored regions, cities and landmarks within New Zealand. Your task this week is to think about those places you have visited and share your experiences with a buddy.
Next, you will record what you have shared on the Venn Diagram and make some comparisons. Think about:

- Places you have visited and your buddy has not

- Places you have both visited (how are we connected?)
Week 7 - New Zealand Landmarks and Cities
This week we are exploring more of New Zealand and its landmarks. What do you know about the cities around the country and what makes them all so special? What landmarks do you recognise?
Week 6 - Learn about New Zealand
How well do you know the country you live in? Lets make some connections (kotahitanga) to our wonderful country and share our knowledge with each other.
What places have you visited? What are your favourite places? Where were you born in New Zealand? Where do your family live in New Zealand? How was our country formed? What are the Maori legends that explain the formation of Aotearoa? What are some landmarks you know and have seen in New Zealand?
