Every country has different celebrations that happen during the year.
Your job this week is to find out about what celebrations your chosen country has. Show your student agency by creating an information page in your EVERYDAY BOOK.
Here are some options:
A) choose ONE celebration and go into detail about WHAT is it, WHEN its celebrated, HOW its celebrated and WHY.
B) Find out about 3 or 4 different celebrations, draw a picture to show what happens and write a fact about it (e.g. when does the event take place.)

Where in the world?
This week you are going to start to investigate the different nationalities that are in Matarawa. In math you created a pictograph with Whaea Emma showing what the different nationalities are in Matarawa.
Your task is to label your own world map showing at least 5 different nationalities and stick your work into your Everyday Book.

- 1) Get the blank world map and the map title from your "Go to Zone", you can find a partner to work with. Paste them neatly into your book.
3) Use this map or the one in your learning space to find the countries and show them on your map by colouring in where they are and labelling it (write the name of the country!)
EXTRA FOR EXPERTS: write the name of someone who comes from there!

4) When your work has been checked, go to EPIC and start thinking about a country you are interested in. You will be researching this country in your literacy time and doing some thinking tasks based around that country. The country you choose will STAY THE SAME over the next few weeks. You can work with a buddy if you like.
